Our Programs
We are busy developing our programs and would love to hear from you about how your experience could help us make progress in our vision to see rare disease patients and their caregivers be emboldened to fully live their lives by demonstrating their deep and abiding rare faith to the watching world and giving a reason for the hope they have.
Biblical Counseling
We want to strengthen the faith of families and support married couples to remain committed to Christ through their journey while navigating the unique challenges of living with a rare disease or special condition.
Help us make progress in identifying families and individuals who will benefit from working with a Biblical Counselor in coordination with your church.
Our goal will be to provide funding for these sessions and also raise enough resources to sponsor individuals interested in training in Biblical Counseling.
We are working on a series, titled, Strengthening Faith Through Rare Hope, A Guide for Biblical Counselors. These booklets address the unique journeys of individuals and where the comfort of God’s sufficient Word can provide hope for the soul. Currently, we’re working on Rett Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, Alexander Disease, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Neurofibromatosis, Type 1.
Church Curriculum
Our passion is that every special needs ministry and care ministry is successfully discipling and supporting families and individuals with rare needs.
We believe that we can come alongside the Church to better support their members who are facing a multitude of challenges, differences and disabilities.
We are surveying churches to understand what is working well and what areas of need exist in special needs and care ministries. We are systematically collecting this information and will use the the input to develop a best practices guide for churches as well as building our church-based curriculum, titled, A Rare Faith.
Beyond Community
Traditional Advocacy organizations do a great job of rallying support to create awareness of a specific condition, support the development of new therapies and connect individuals with financial assistance. Those are great and necessary purposes that connect patients and caregivers to the cause.
We seek to create a community of spiritual encouragement that reaches into the church as well as shares the hope that we have with those outside the church.
We will be attending and exhibiting at National Advocacy conferences, creating a compelling blog with dynamic interviews, developing and curating resources in order to share your stories, your faith and the transforming power of the Gospel.
